Birdwatching Tour and Jaguar Photo Safari, at the Northern Pantanal & Amazon Forest (Extension to the Gardens of the Amazon Lodge – Under Request)

DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY
September 19 (1st. Day):

RIO CLARO LODGE:  Besides, this lodge being very comfortable rooms & very good food, it has lots of subject to be photographed:  Lots of birds, at the bird feeder, being the only one with the lovely Nanday Parakeet. The boat rides are also unique offering chances to photograph several birds, that will come to catch fishes, thrown by our guides, right on the water surface, such the Cocoi Heron, Ringed Kingfisher and Black-collared Hawk.

September 20 (2nd. Day):

Breakfast.  Two hours boat ride.  Rest of the morning photographing the bird feeders.  Lunch. Siesta.  PM: Two more hours boat ride.  Return to the lodge:  Sunset Photo Session. Dinner. Overnight. (B/L/D)

September 21 (3rd. Day):

Breakfast.  Check out. Transfer to the Pantanal Norte Hotel, with Photo Safari along the road. Arrival by lunch time. Check in. Lunch. Siesta.
PM: Photographing at the grounds of the hotel. Sunset Photo Session. Dinner. Overnight. (B/L/D)

On this afternoon at the Pantanal Norte Hotel, we will be photographing a resident flock of Hyacinth Macaws, which are the largest parrot, in the world.  It shall be good chances also for the Toco Toucan, Orange-backed Troupial and Purplish Jays. Sunset will be on a lake with Giant Water Lillies!!!

September 22 and 23 (4th and 5th Days)

Breakfast( 5:00 am!).  Departure for the Jaguar Photo Safari.  All morning Jaguar Photo Safari.  Return for lunch at 11:30 am.  Lunch. Siesta.  PM:  Jaguar Photo Safari, starting at 2:30 pm. Return after the Sunset Photo Session.  Dinner. Overnight. (B/L/D)

The Jaguar Photo Safari deserves this name due the fact that the Jaguars will be a Top Priority, on the boat rides…But, since we will be on a river, on the largest wetland, in the world, we shall have countless subject to photograph, such Anacondas, Caimans, Monkeys, Capybaras and lots and lots of birds, such Terns,  Plovers, Skimmers, Heron, Kingfishers, just to mention a few.

September 24 (6th. Day): 

Breakfast.  Check out.  Transfer to Cuiaba, with lunch and Photo Safari, along the road.  Check in. Dinner. Overnight. Gran Odara Hotel. (B/L/D)

September 25 (7th. Day: Breakfast). 

Check out. Transfer to the airport, for flight homewards or any other incredible  destination within Brazil. (B)

NOTES

* An arrival, in Cuiaba, one day before the tour starts, is recommended: It helps to get rid of  the jet leg,  it makes the start of the trip “stress free” & on the next day, the guest will feel full of energy to start this tour that, surely, it will be a Life Time Experience!!!

 – It is, highly, recommended to purchase a Travel Insurance, that would cover health issues during the trip and cancellations before or during the trip, in case of an unexpected early return home.
