Spix’s Macaw: In the 90’s we offered birding trips that produced the very last Spix’s Macaw, in the wild.
This is a great evidence of how long is being our experience and knowledge in offering Bird Trips at the Brazilian Northeast.
The Brazilian Northeast still has some of the more endangered and rare birds of Brazil, such the Lear’s Macaw and Araripe Manakin.
And watching some of these birds is a special moment, described, by some, as a chest-clutching, hand-trembling, stomach-churning,throat-drying and breath-snatching!!!
Here are our Itineraries:
Itinerary NE # 1Below, you will find a rough itinerary. The prices will be sent to you, under request. Note: Our prices are according to the number of tour participants, being our rates unbeatlable. Day 1: Arrival at the International Airport of SALVADOR . Transfer to Estancia, with possible birding & owling there. Day 2: Full day birding in Estancia, including Owling. Day 3: Transfer to Canudos, with LOTS of birding along the road, specially between Jeremoabo and Canudos, where we shall watch the Lear’s Macaw! Day 4 and 5: Two full days birding in Canudos. Day 6: Transfer to Crato, with some birding along the road. Arrival by the end of the day. Day 7 and 8: Two wonderful days birding the Crato area – Home of the Araripe Manakin! Day 9: Transfer to Baturite with birding in route. Day 10: Full day birding at Serra do Baturite, home of the rarest bird Parakeet in Brazil : The grey-breasted one! Day 11: Transfer to the International Airport of FORTALEZA. For Flight to Salvador (Itineray # 2) or flight home wards. (Under request we can offer pre & post-extension to Tamandare and Murici and/or Fernando de Noronha Island) |

Day 5: Transfer to Camacan/Serra Bonita Day 6: Full day birding in Camacan Day 7: Transfer to Boa Nova. Day 8: Full Day Birding in Boa Nova. Day 9: Full Day Birding in Boa Nova. Day 10: Transfer to Lencois, with birding stop in Mucuge. Day 12: Birding in the Lencois Area. Day 13: Transfer to Salvador, eventually, birding in route. Flight home wards or overnight stay for those continuing with the Itinerary # 3. |

Our groups take a maximum of eight tour participants. If, the dates, you have choosen we have already 06 people, you will be paying a much lower rate, compared to a set departure with just four tour participants. Why we do that ???
