The Itineraries
We always aim to offer you everything it is described in your itinerary. However, we count on your understanding when occur some alterations due to weather conditions or changes in river levels.
Weather conditions and clothing
The weather has been changing a lot around the world, and Brazil is not an exception. So, before packing your clothes be sure to check the five-day weather forecast for the region you are going to visit, using the Weather Channel or CNN.
Mato Grosso
Because this region is extremely close to the Equator, we only have two seasons – a dry season (from April to October) and a rainy season (from November to March). In both seasons, the temperature will center around 35°C (95°F). Cottons clothes are highly recommended. Also bring bathing suits and short pants in case you might want to use them at lunch time… A raincoat is welcome, but bring also a small umbrella which can protect you from the rain and the sun. An umbrella is also better when you are walking on a trail as it will help you avoid sweating.
Atlantic Forest
Here we experience all the four Seasons. They are, exactly, the opposite time of year as those in the Northern Hemisphere. For example, when it is Summer in the Northern Hemisphere, here it will be Winter!
Temperature
In most areas the temperature will be pleasant, around 25°C (77°F). However up in the mountains of Itatiaia it can drop to 5°C (41°F). So if you are coming to this area bring gloves and a nice warm coat.
In Ubatuba, we will be along the Coast. Bathing suits will be a good idea if, you like swimming.
Rubber Boots
If you have a favorite pair that you always bring with you, you can make good use of them. They will keep you safe from any chiggers and will make you less worried about thorns.
However, in case you don’t own a pair we have a good number of spare boots which we will be pleased to offer you. Just let us know in advance that you will want them and give us your shoe size. Thanks!
